I personally was involved in the HAIR SCISSOR industry for more than 10 years, and has been asked by customers "which is your best shear?" many times.
The scissors made in our factory are stickly according to standards inherited from Japanese up-to-date and up-most technology.
Qualified material and proper heat treatment are the basic and essential. There are far more points needing to be paid attention.
1. Convex or clamshell shape outside blade.
2. Hollow ground inside blade. Slight Twisted ground can be shown by the Light Reflection

1. Q: What materials do you use for hair shears?
A: Generally we use materials of original Japanese 440C and domestic 9CR13 steels for high quality stylist scissors, and make ultimated hair scissors with Japanese VG10 and ATS314 etc. Further more, domestic steels of 6CR13 and 4CR13 are used for economy student scissors.
Note: Regarding Japanese imported steels of 440C, VG10 and ATS314, Steel Componets Analysis Report can be offered for your approval. Fake materials will never be used in our company.
2. Q: Will my ordered scissors heat treated properly?
A: Each pair of shear will be well heated treated, strictly according to the Analysis Report from our steel factory. Please check following hardness chart for your reference:
VG10 Steel: 60 ~ 62 HRC
440C Steel: 59 ~ 61 HRC
9CR13 Steel: 58 ~ 60 HRC
6CR13 Steel: 55 ~ 57 HRC
4CR13 Steel: 50 ~ 53 HRC
3. Q: Can I customized order my scissors?
A: Yes. There are nearly 150 different handle styles and dozens of blade styles for your selection. You can combine your favorite handles with blades to make your unique hair scissors.
Further more, the blade is wire cut and welded to the handles, so you can send your original scissor samples or send me design drawing for your scissors production.
4. Q: What sizes are the barber scissors?
A: Sizes of 5.0", 5.5" and 6.0" can be provided. Also 5.25", 5.75" and 6.25" are possible.
